INSULATING CASTABLES

 

 “Wataneyia for Refractories” manufactures insulating concrete dry mixes consisting of a blend of expanded perlite, pumice or exfoliated vermiculite aggregates with calcium aluminate cements. These dry mixes come in the form of plasters, coatings, castables and gunnitables. When properly mixed with water they can be applied to walls and/or ceiling surfaces, or metal wire-lath to provide lightweight insulating castables.

    Insulating castables play an important role in industrial applications mainly in petrochemical refineries. Apart from the high cost of ceramic fibers and calcium silicate insulations, there are specific areas where the use of fibers is not possible. In these cases our insulating castables “Insubet” are used as the lining of choice.
